Build a platform for integrated powertrain testing.
The testbench combined electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components so the team could wire, calibrate, troubleshoot, and iterate before full-vehicle integration.
Design, wire, calibrate, test.
- Designed and fabricated the functional testbench.
- Programmed, calibrated, and tuned electronic components through the motor inverter.
- Used design matrices and physical analyses to select commercial and custom parts.
- Traced and connected wiring to the vehicle harness and troubleshot circuitry.
- Modelled preliminary driver foot-pedal designs in SolidWorks and integrated electrical components with the pedal box.
- Programmed pedal travel for the desired motor response and driver comfort.
